Belascoarán is a three-part Mexican crime miniseries released in 2022 and available on Netflix. Set in 1970s Mexico City, the story follows a man who leaves his mundane corporate job to pursue a new life as a private detective, taking on a series of intriguing and challenging cases. The series is based on the acclaimed novels by Paco Ignacio Taibo II and stars Luis Gerardo Méndez, Paulina Gaitán, and Irene Azuela.
The studio also developed and implemented various VFX effects, enhancing scenes with dynamic visual details while maintaining the series' unique aesthetic and narrative tone. By combining motion design, compositing, tracking, and visual effects, Futuritas Studio helped bring key sequences to life and contributed to the overall visual identity of the production.
